I read a lot. I want to be an author. Words are my main weapon and I can manipulate them better than anything else.
I want to know everything. I will never be able to account for my intelligence, but I can always account for my knowledge, which I collect fervently. I am deeply interested in Art, Architecture, History, Law, Literature, Mythology, and Zoology.
I love to listen to and watch people and dedicate an enormous amount of time to doing so. I find people almost as fascinating individually as I find them repellent as a group. To me, every person is a uniquely written character. Character study and human psychology fascinate me more than anything else and I am good at reading people and picking up on small nuances.
I look for adventure and I'm good at finding it. I like to do things that make me scared or uncomfortable until that feeling goes away. I believe in taking risks, and I believe regrets are a waste of time. I want to try everything once. I travel a lot. I love chaos.
I am very close to my mother. My friends are my family and I would die for them. I have a huge weakness for animals. Puppies make me squeal like a little girl. I have an enormous fondness for fat pink pigs and dogs with flat noses.
I live in Canada and hail from the icy lands of Siberia. I run a used bookstore that is hidden, specializes in strange things, and is open until midnight, where a lot of fascinating things happen. I live in a fraternity house and get a unique view on life I believe not a lot of girls are privileged to ever see.
I hold no specifically identifiable political leanings, but I believe in having the right to choose, having the right to question, and a responsibility of exercising those rights always. Religiously, I mostly worship at the altar of literature and narrow down my beliefs to logic, wisdom, respect, common sense and patience when possible. I believe in everything and all gods in no way in particular, but am not a fan of organized religion. I try not to be a hypocrite but don't always succeed.
|IN RELATION TO OTHERS|
Those who love me have described me as an opinionated, loud, witty, compassionate person with a strong sense of self-worth, and a self-confidence that almost always gets me what I want, who is a little rough around the edges.
Those who dislike me tend to describe me as an insensitive, ruthless, obnoxious, and manipulative bitch who is narcissistic, almost always willing to do what I need to get what I want, and having a side that is decidedly, unpleasantly strange. It's all a matter of perspective.
In others, I greatly admire the courage it takes to have empathy and a sense of compassion towards other living things. I respect and admire a sharp intelligence and a thirst for knowledge. I admire a strong, consistent personal code of ethics (with which I don't require myself to agree to respect its presence). I love people with a sense of daring curiosity and a wish for adventure; a desire and courage to experience new things. I respect people who are consistent in their beliefs, and consistent in their personality, and are capable of recognizing, embracing and presenting themselves exactly as who they are, from the good to the ugly. I wholeheartedly agree with Aristotle that "It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it," and respect those who are capable of doing so. I very much enjoy intelligent debates and discussions, and learning different perspectives.
I dislike people are dull, or those who believe it is even possible for the world to be black and white. I dislike those who cling to the safe and the comfortable. I detest those who lack empathy towards others, or care an unreasonable amount for money and material possessions. I dislike contrivances and people who try hard to associate themselves with a certain stereotype, or a group of people (if you are it, no effort needs to be put into being it). I find it hard to respect people who are more afraid of conflict than standing up for what they believe in or going after what they want. I despise people who apply stereotypes or judgements to people, or groups, or activities, based on their own prejudice, fears, or lack of understanding. I believe strongly you cannot judge what you don't understand, and you cannot understand what you do not study/try for yourself and even then, you will never understand everything, and that's not an excuse for judgement.
